Welcome to the Uzuri online store + website. Please read the following terms + conditions as they govern your use of our site. By using the Uzuri website, you agree to follow and be bound by our terms + conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use this site in any way.
Uzuri reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time without prior notification. Site users must agree upon and abide by these changes accordingly. Any use of the Uzuri website at any time constitutes full acceptance of our terms + conditions.
This website is operated by Uzuri. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Uzuri. Uzuri offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.
Purchase of products
When you order a Product from the Uzuri website you are offering to buy it at the price stated, subject to these terms. We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the Website are correct at the time when the relevant information where entered onto the system.
We reserve the right to refuse an order subject to the following reasons:
- The product ordered being unavailable (out of stock)
- Our inability to obtain authorization of payment
- The identification of an error within the product information, including price or promotion
Prices displayed on the website are shown in Rand and are subject to change at any time.
- A delivery fee of R20 is charged per order in urban areas
- An increased delivery fee of R59 is charged in rural areas
- International customers will be responsible for the specific shipping cost
A standard shipping charge of R20 will be charged on all orders. Additional fees will be communicated via e-mail and charged separately before an order is dispatched.
Deliveries will be free of charge in South Africa, but international customers will be responsible for the specific shipping cost.
We cannot take responsibility for an incorrect address being entered while ordering on our website. If you complete your Order and then notice that the address details are incorrect, please contact us immediately: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Order acceptance and cancellation
Your receipt of an electronic or other form of order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell. We reserve the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept, decline, or limit your order for any reason, whether or not your credit card has been charged. If your credit card has been charged and your order is cancelled, you will receive a refund.
Once an order has been placed, it cannot be cancelled unless the shipment is unavoidably delayed. In this case, we will do our best to cancel the order if requested.
Uzuri accepts payment with PayFast, Snapscan and EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer).
You may also be liable for any customs and import duty, quotas, permits, product restrictions and other local requirements. These charges must be paid by the recipient of the parcel. Customs policies vary widely from state to state and country to country. Therefore we suggest that you check the requirements in your country before placing an order. We will not be liable for any custom or import duties.
3. CHANGES IN PRODUCTS AND PRICING
We are constantly updating and revising our offerings of products, and we may change, add or discontinue products at any time without notice. All pricing for our products is subject to change. For all of our prices and products, we reserve the right to make adjustments due to changing market conditions and other circumstances.
4. MANUFACTURING AND SHIPPING POLICY
All our products are locally crafted + handmade, therefore delivery time can vary from 1 - 4 working weeks, depending on availability.
We aim to process your order within 72 hours of it being placed. Please allow 1 - 4 working weeks for delivery within South Africa. International Customers might need to be a little more patient, but we will be in contact via e-mail regarding these orders.
Uzuri only ships orders Monday to Friday, during office hours, and does not operate on public holidays.
Once an order has been registered and payment accepted, and order shipped, it is in the postal service. We are not liable for any errors made by these services.
Uzuri will not be liable for any items damaged during the opening of your parcel. Any guarantees or representations made as to delivery times are subject to any delays resulting from postal delays or external circumstances for which we will not be responsible.
5. RETURN & EXCHANGE POLICY
All our products are locally made in limited quantities and styles. Please note that slight imperfections and minor color variations are typical features of leather that identify each piece as a unique + proudly South African product.
Our aim is to keep our customers satisfied with their purchases made at Uzuri. However, if you receive any products that you are not happy with, you may contact us within 15 working days of receiving it and we will process the exchange/refund.
You can return any of the products if it has been unused, unworn, and undamaged with the swing tickets + care labels attached. We shall have no obligation to accept any return that we receive after the expiration of the applicable return period (15 working days after receipt of your parcel). Please ensure when returning the parcel that the Products are properly protected.
We only allow one exchange per garment.
To complete your refund/ exchange, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. We will facilitate return of the item, but you will be responsible for postage costs of returning the item. We recommend using registered mail to return items, as we are not liable for any items lost in the post.

We regret, no returns or exchanges on International orders outside of South Africa.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, we will contact you via email within a certain amount of days to process your refund.
